Food usually defrosts so that you take out of the freezer and leave it to unfreeze overnight. However, according to Norwegian food specialist Susan Eksted, this technique is quite wrong. She says that the best way to defrost food healthy is to put it in cold water.
“Put the food in a suitable plastic container with cold water, it’ll warm up quickly,” says Eksted.
According to her, a microwave oven is the worst solution.
